A regular client reminded us today that it IS gift certificate season. Although, July birthdays currently hold the record for 2009 gift certificate sales, the year ain’t over yet. So, let me take this opportunity to remind you that the EASIEST way to get a gift certificate is by way of our on line GC request . We get the gift certificate all ready to go, and put it in the mail just as soon as we make payment arrangements (usually by taking your credit card information over the phone).
If you DO wait until the last minute, and need the gift by TODAY, no problem. Just place your order with us, and tell the lucky recipient that their gift is on file here at the shop. You can even pretend that this was a deliberate attempt to be environmentally thoughtful and save paper. Aren’t you clever?
While we have your ear, there are a few new things this year that you might like to consider when gift shopping. Ashiatsu, mini spa treatments, and our new “Day at the Beach”.
Ashiatsu is now available at Solaris. If someone you know loves deep tissue, let them try something new! Solaris Massage is proud to be the first to offer this technique in Kansas City.
We are also offering mini spa treatments as a nice little way to upgrade your gift. Our current mini spa is a lovely Blooming Lotus papaya gingermint foot fizz, soak, and scrub. This is a great pick me up for tired winter feet. Add just $15 to your gift certificate.
Finally, we are proud to introduce a little service we are calling “Day at the Beach”. Inspired by the comments of Kathy Barnard during a recent visit. We begin with the above tropical foot treatment, followed by an hour long massage with more bright Blooming Lotus essential oils. Our favorite “electric sun” provides a warm glow that will leave you feeling like you just took a nap on the beach while a professional masseuse expertly slathered the best natural oils on your sun kissed skin. Oh yes, we even play special island music. We top it all off by serving you a virgin pina colada. You will forget you are in the midwest in wintertime. All this for $80.
